That's where relove comes in. We will find the best home for your used pieces either with customers, charities or repurposing or recycling

Giving Back

We are proud to continue the long term relationship we have with The Hope Foundation (HOPE), in particular during a year which marks the charity’s 25th anniversary. Every bag or accessory we sell and sets out on its journey, goes one step closer to enable HOPE to deliver its vision of "a world where it should never hurt to be a child" and help disadvantaged children on their journey to a better future. HOPE was established in 1999 to protect the rights of street-connected children in Kolkata, India. The charity’s mission is to ensure children’s basic rights and enhance their dignity through the provision of access to protection, healthcare, education, emergency response and livelihood skills development programmes. HOPE implements diverse, innovative and sustainable programmes to empower the most vulnerable and marginalised children and communities with the support they need to enjoy healthy, joyful lives – thus providing them with better opportunities for their
futures.

We pledge money from ouronline sales every quarter in 2024/25 to specifically fund our chosen project; HOPE's crèche programme, which
supports young children living in the Kasba slum community, who would otherwise be left alone for long periods of time while their parents are at work. The crèche provides pre-primary, non-formal
education to children aged 2-6 years, along with supplementary nutrition, growth monitoring, as per guidelines on Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and crèche uniforms.

The project team in Kolkata identify and enrol children who are not accessing pre-primary or facilities for early childhood care and education. Kasba crèche provides pre-primary education and life-skill enhancement such as personal hygiene, communication, self-expression, protection, and motor skills. Look out for stories and updates in the coming months.

  • Leather Working Group

We are committed to sustainability and quality, which is why we partner with the Leather Working Group (LWG) for sourcing all our leather materials. LWG is a global leader in responsible leather sourcing, ensuring that our materials are eco-friendly and ethically produced. Their rigorous standards and sustainable practices align with our mission to create durable, elegant travel accessories that are kind to the planet and enhance your journeys.

  • Recycled Canvas

We are dedicated to sustainability and innovation, which is why we use factory waste recycled canvas for all our weekender, wash, and beach bags. This eco-friendly material is crafted from recycled factory waste, reducing landfill use and conserving resources. Our recycled canvas is not only durable and stylish but also embodies our commitment to creating high-quality products with minimal environmental impact. By choosing recycled canvas, we are able to offer versatile, sustainable travel accessories that support a greener planet.

  • Peach Skin Polyster

We believe the interior of our travel cases should match the elegance and sustainability of their exterior. That’s why we use Peach Skin Polyester for our linings. Known for its ultra-soft texture, this fabric adds a luxurious touch to our cases. Beyond its sophisticated feel, Peach Skin Polyester is highly durable and eco-friendly, aligning with our commitment to sustainability. • Recycled Polyester

Sustainability is at the heart of our design ethos. By incorporating high-quality recycled polyester, we minimize waste and contribute to a circular economy, allowing our customers to embark on their journeys with both style and a clear conscience.

  • RPET

RPET (Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a sustainable material made from post-consumer plastic waste, such as used plastic bottles. It involves collecting, cleaning, and processing these plastic items to create fibres that can be used in textiles, packaging, and other products. The benefits of environmental impact: RPET helps reduce plastic waste and promotes recycling, diverting plastic from landfills and oceans.Energy Efficiency: Producing RPET uses less energy compared to virgin polyester, resulting in a lower carbon footprint.Resource Conservation: By recycling plastic waste, RPET reduces the need for petroleum-based raw materials, conserving natural resources.

  • Recycled Polycarbonate

Recycled Polycarbonate is a sustainable material made by reprocessing used polycarbonate plastics, often from electronic waste or post-consumer products, to create new polycarbonate sheets or components. This material is used in hard-shell luggage to maintain strength and durability while reducing the environmental impact of producing new polycarbonate. Recycled polycarbonate helps reduce plastic waste by repurposing existing materials, minimizing the need for new resources and reducing landfill waste.

Not all the materials we use have the same environmental benefits such as blended cotton, vegan leather, and polycarbonate, We are on a journey to reduce the use of any material that has a detrimental impact on the environment with a target to have all non eco friendly materials removed by the end of 2025.
